If the "Access Denied" prompt appears when using the demonstration software to connect to the module, it is usually because the serial port has been opened and occupied by other software (such as serial port assistant, access control management software, etc.). At this time, you need to exit the software that occupies the serial port, or choose to change a serial port and try again to solve the problem of failure to open the serial port.

If the serial port can be opened but communication with the module fails, please check and confirm the following items one by one:
1) Is the serial port selected on the software the serial port of the host connected to the module? If a USB-UART converter is used, please check the virtual serial port number in the ""Port (COM and LPT)"" item in the system device manager;
2) Is the communication data line between the host and the module in good contact; are the TXD and RXD data lines of the serial port connected correctly or reversed; are the GND of the host and the GND of the module connected together. If the connection is correct,
are the TXD and RXD lines reversed? Please swap them and try again;
3) Is the communication parameter setting correct? The correct serial port communication parameter should be the default baud rate 115200;
4) Is there any error in the sent data? Pay special attention to whether the checksum is wrong;
5) Check whether it is hexadecimal sending and receiving (check Hex).

If the host can read the information returned by the module (indicating that the host and module are communicating normally), but cannot read the serial number of the card, please check whether the following situations are the cause:
1) Is the card too far from the card reader antenna? Try to move the card closer to the antenna and read it again;
2) Is there a large area of metal around the card or module antenna? Large areas of metal will seriously affect card reading. Please move the module to an environment without metal and read it again;
3) Is the card protocol the protocol type supported by the module? Is the card an ID card? Because the working frequency and principle of ID cards are very different, this module cannot support such cards.
